Why I Wrote The Roman Catholic Articles

I have added this section, scathing though some of it may be, in the hopes of awaking the dear Roman Catholic reader to the soul destroying doctrines of his Church. These articles are not, as some suggest, attacks on individual Roman Catholics. I do not, as some suggest, hate Roman Catholics! Why should I? I was raised in Ireland with many Roman Catholics as good friends! Indeed half of my family (my wife’s side) is Roman Catholic.
The truth is, this section would not have been posted save for the fact that there is a new breed of dogmatic Catholic Apologist, now at large. These gentlemen are doing great damage to the Biblical truth of Justification by Grace through Faith and are deceiving Bible Believers in their droves as they endeavor to bring us all back to Rome ( see my pieces on Scott Hahn and Marcus Grodi).
For those Bible Believers who object to my stand or fail to see its relevance I would ask a few simple questions. If your children came home and said they were going to marry committed Roman Catholics and your grandchildren were, therefore, going to be raised in the Roman faith, would you object?
Did you know that the Church of Rome is at extreme variance with the scripture? Do you know that the leader of that Church has exalted himself to become the substitute for Christ (“another God on Earth”). If this kind of toxic teaching does not matter to you then you have no problems! It obviously would not matter if your children and grandchildren became Mormons, Muslims or Jehovah Witnesses.
In conclusion let me say, if Rome is the True Church, we should all join her. If the Pope is the substitute for Christ we should all adhere to him. But if not, then Rome and its Supreme Pontiff (Great High Priest) must be exposed! How can we accept a man masquerading as the door to salvation and say nothing? Has Christ Jesus no champions left for His cause?
Furthermore, it is of urgency that our families be protected from the poison that lurks behind the kindly face of Rome. Her doctrines lead to the pit of hell!
If these are indeed the final days of apostasy, my voice and the voice of others like me will fall on deaf ears, it is already too late! But if God in His sovereign mercy would once again visit us with power then we will yet see the greatest ingathering and awakening in the History of Grace.
